Unusual outdoor scene of what appears to be mourning crepe in the window of a dry goods store. There is a photograph of a man framed at the center of the image, partially obscured by the reflection of buildings in the window. The photograph is taken from the sidewalk, with a basement floor window grate in the foreground. The CVD is backmarked “Tomlinson’s Fine Art Gallery, 11, Dickinson’s Block, Binghampton, N.Y.”
