This is a great displaying Civil War leather percussion cap box, would have been carried by the soldier to carry the brass percussion caps for his musket, pistol or carbine. The original belt loops are both still present on of the back of the box. The outer flap but worn around the closure tab and brass finial at the bottom. The inner flap is present with both of the "ears" on the sides. The stamping is faint but present on the inner flap. It was manufactured in Quincy, ILL.
