Civil War Camp Style Shaving Mirror - Inventory Number: CAM 571 / SOLD
Embossed zinc compact traveling mirrors such as this were widely used during the war. Most were imported and sold by town merchants and sutlers to the soldiers in camp. This one is embossed with a scroll and the raised maker’s stamp “E.R. Paris”. Wire stand lacking, mounting ring is present on the underside. The lid is lined in fuchsia colored paper. A nice item for a Civil War camp display. Measures 3” Diameter.
