Civil War Cartridge Box with Percussion Cap Pouch - Inventory Number: LEA 398 / ON-HOLD

Great infantry accoutrement, this is the 1861 regulation .58 caliber Union cartridge box complete with sling, breast plate, cartridge box plate, tins, and even the unique but inventive addition of a percussion cap box on the sling. The idea of having the cap pouch here is likely an adaptation by a seasoned soldier who place the pouch in a location which he could load and fire more expeditiously. A great rig! Marker marked.
