Civil War Corps Badges - Inventory Number: INS 337
Trio of original Civil War corps badges Mounted to a circa 1920 birthday card. These three well executed Civil War corps badges are accompanied by a typed inscription stating “cap decorations worn by union army officers to designate army corps.” A pen notation (ca. 1940) beneath each specifies what badges are affixed. The first badge on the left is a first division 18th army corp. The middle badge is 1/3 division 20th Army corps, and the third badge is a second division second army corps. A well displayed assortment of original wartime badges that we have kept mounted to the display board as provenance. The value of these separated is twice our asking price but it would be a shame to separate these from part of their history.
Comes housed in 8 x 12 riker display case with black velvet and descriptive card.
