Civil War Document Tube - Inventory Number: DOC 289 / SOLD

Constructed of tin, this container was used to keep maps, orders and other important documents dry.  This example features a brass plaque with the original owners name “W.Henderson” stamped in period font.  Research indicates that there ore officers on both sides of the conflict that share this initial and name combination.   Great example.
