Civil War Era Fire Bucket - Civil War era, sewn leather fire bucket, once common in all homes and shops, and so rarely found today. The 12 1/2" tall body has a 9" diameter reinforced mouth that tapers to 6 1/2". An original wrapped and sewn handle, usually long missing, is still with its iron rings. In good clean sound condition, with some age warp as shown, that does not threaten its strength. All in all, a great early 19th century period leather fire bucket.
