Civil War Era Mourning Fan - Sold

This cockade style folding hand fan is made of polished cotton. It is all black and was used as a mourning fan.  The fan is in excellent condition.  and has one attachment ring at the end.  The fan measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and the handle measures 8 1/2" and is 12 inches when fully opened.  These delicate accessories are difficult to find in any condition and are exceptionally tough to acquire in such a nice condition as this example.
