Civil War Holster - Inventory Number: LEA 201 / SOLD 

Original leather holster for the large-framed revolver.  This example will accept the Colt Army and Navy as well as the Remington Army revolver.  The leather is supple and will gladly accept a revolver.  There the first 2” of the seam is open and plug is lacking.  The flap retains the original closure tab with period reinforcement which seats nicely on the brass ball finial device.  A classic example in the Gaylord pattern with wide belt loop which is reinforced via three copper rivets and double row of stitching.  A very nice representative example for any collection.
