Civil War Infantryman - Inventory Number: ALB 210

Imperial albumen photograph measuring an impressive 15 ½ x 19 ½.  Due to loss of detail of such large images, it required the photographer to re-touch the finer details with charcoal, this example being well executed.  The soldier stands in the classic infantry ensemble consisting of his four-button sack coat, forage cap and light blue trousers.  His cross belt for the cartridge box is visible as is his waist belt and musket.  Very neat patriotic background.  Original hardwood frame measures 18 x 22 ½” with wonderful original wavy glass.
