Civil War Percussion Cap Tins

Interesting set of excavated and non-excavated percussion cap tins. The non-dug example is in good condition with some of the Japanned finish at the bottom. Bold embossed "Eley Bro / London" on lid with some caps remaining inside. The dug example still has the Eley marking visible on the lid, and the bottom is partially broken open, revealing a number of caps still frozen in place. A nice display piece housed in a riker case.

Comes housed in a display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
