Civil War Pistol Cartridge Box - Inventory Number: LEA 359

This is an original leather cartridge box for the Civil War revolver.  The leather is supple and presents brownish black.  The outer flap exhibits some heavy flaking of the finish. The brass finial is present on the bottom of the box.  The closure tab is present and in good condition.  On the back side of the box retains both original leather loops.  The maker mark of Shepard is present on the center of the outer flap.
