Riker case with nine Civil War bullets that have been whittled into various shapes by a bored soldier. The centerpiece is a very attractive pocketknife with floral designed bolsters and a patriotic eagle at the center of the grip. The opposite grip is marked “The Celebrated IXL Knife.” Knifemaker George Wostenholm manufactured knives marked “IXL” in Sheffield, England since 1831. A nice grouping showcasing how a Civil War soldier might spend his idle time in camp.
Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
