Civil War U.S. Issue Belt and Buckle - Inventory Number:  LEA 445

Original Civil War Union infantry enlisted man’s belt. The leather is still flexible. The buckle is the arrow hooked pattern and retains a rich, untouched patina. A nice addition to a Civil War infantry or accoutrement display. The coolest attribute to this example is the addition of multiple holes, attesting to its long-term use in the field.  These were often worn over the great coat in the winter and sack coat in the summer.  A true veteran's example with true field wear and nice untouched plate!
