Three handmade, folded paper envelopes measuring 5 ½” by 3” accompanied by a period paper tag with ink inscription that reads “Homemade Envelopes Left on Hand at Close of War.” One of the envelopes has the ink inscription “Landridge, Gainsville Ala.” A nice collection of make-do envelopes that demonstrate hard times in a war-ravaged South.
Comes housed in a 12 x 16 inch display case with blue velvet backing and descriptive card.
