Colt Model 1849 pocket percussion revolver made in 1860. The 5” barrel has a two-line New York address. The stagecoach scene on the cylinder remains visible. "COLTS/PATENT" marked on the left side of the frame. matching serials on the frame, barrel assembly, trigger guard and butt. Octagonal barrel with brass pin front sight. The metal finish is original with most areas forming a gray/brown patina. The brass grip straps were once silver plated and have mostly worn down to brass. The bore is frosted with very good rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Lockup and timing are sharp as well. A tight and functional example.
