Confederate star excavated from a Mississippi Hospital site. This five-pointed silver star bears the letters “M.S.” with an outline above and below. The reverse features a button shank and a ring to affix. These have been noted on the brim of slouch hats throughout the early war by Texas and Mississippi units.
Comes housed in 6 inch x 8 inch riker display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
