Excavated North Carolina 23mm two-piece button of local construction. This variety is listed as NC210C. The face depicts the state coat of arms with a gray patina that was once silver plated. The blank back has a depressed channel and sheet brass drilled shank, which likely denotes late war manufacture. An attractive southern manufactured button.

Comes housed in a display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
