Confederate Pike - The blade was fashioned from a U.S. triangular bayonet, which was affixed to a sapling. Complete with original finial device. Exact example used in Harold L. Peterson's book. Pike measures approximately 6 feet 6inches from the base to the top of the bayonet. Head measures approximately 25 7/8" and has the "US" stamping above the cross guard which is affixed to the original sapling shaft. This is a great piece of Southern ingenuity and would make an excellent addition to any collection!
