1845 letter written by US Secretary of State and statesman, Daniel Webster (1782 to 1852).  Very nice original ink letter which discusses a meeting in Philadelphia and responding to a letter from the Quaintance boldly signed “yours truly, Daniel Webster”

Accompanied by a steel engraving with an exemplar of his signature, which was printed in 1852.

Comes housed in 12 x 16 riker display case with red velvet and descriptive card.
