Drive Them to Washington by Don Troiani - July 21st, 1861, General Thomas Jonathan Jackson led his brigade of Virginians into the contest at First Manassas. The southern line was weakening and it would be these men who would save the Confederacy from sure defeat. A soldier of the 4th Virginia recounted that the General ordered them to "Charge and Drive Them To Washington"!
