The Lincoln portrait on the current United States five-dollar bill is based on
this photograph. Backmarked “SALISBURY, BRO. & Co. Manufacturers of GOLD
AND GOLD PLATED JEWELERY. ALSO. Carte de Visites of all Noted Persons. TRADE
LIST SENT FREE. PROVIDENCE, R.I.” There is some soiling and two pinholes near
the top of the card, otherwise in good condition.
Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with black
velvet backing and descriptive card.
