Enfield Rifle Musket Tool / SOLD

This is the private’s musket tool for the Pattern 1853 Enfield. The tool is in the shape of a “Y”.  The body of the tool is hollow and serves as an oil reservoir. An applicator is attached to a fluted thumbscrew which screws into the top. The bottom of this central piece had a recessed nipple wrench. Screwed into the body is a nipple prick. The arm has a screwdriver blade on one end and is threaded on the other to hold a wiper. A rarely encountered accessory for the Enfield rifle.
