Excavated U.S. Eagle Breast Plate - Inventory Number: REL 072 / SOLD

Excellent excavated example of the standard regulation eagle breast plate worn by infantryman on the cartridge box sling.  The face exhibits a nice deep woods patina with some dirt remaining on the surface. The reverse has the lead fill, lacking the iron attachment loops. Battle of Cold Harbor.

Comes housed in a display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
