Four Barrel Pepperbox Revolver / SOLD

Mariette Brevette four-barrel pepperbox revolver in good condition showing engraved frame and blacken hardwood grips. This pepper box is in approximately 38 caliber percussion with four shots barrel group measuring 3 ¼” and is nearly 7” overall. The frame and straps have been lightly cleaned and are in good condition. The action works well and the barrels revolve nicely. The grips are good. Mariette patented this under hammer design with ring trigger mechanism and licensed it to many European makers. Many imported during the American Civil War which is why this pepper box shows Belgian proof.
