French Model 1831 Foot Artillery Sword - Inventory Number: SWO 209 / SOLD
The French Model 1831 foot artillery sword replaced the model 1816. The most notable changes were the ringed grip rather than the fish scale pattern seen in the earlier model, as well as a redesigned blade shape without fullers. This example is in good condition with some scattered pitting across the blade and has a small bend to the tip. The leather scabbard is in good, strong condition with most of its original finish. An attractive example.
