G.A.R. Belt and Buckle - Inventory Number: VET 341 / SOLD

Grand Army of the Republic belt with buckle in excellent condition.  Woven white belt, measuring approximately 2” wide. A rectangular buckle is cast brass featuring letters “G.A.R” surrounded by crossed sabers, rifles, cannon and an anchor. The buckle has nearly all its original gold gilded finish. The patent white leather belt remains perfectly clean, lacking the keeper device, the brass adjuster is present. Hard to improve upon this example.
