This brass commemorative medal is 1 3/4" across. It is from the August, 1891 National G. A. R. ( Grand Army of the Republic ) Encampment which took place in Detroit, Michigan.

The reverse depicts and advertises the Mabley & Company department stores..... 12 stores and 62 Departments . The Medal Winners and The Largest Retail Establishment in Michigan.

This is a neat, rare medal honoring Civil War Veterans.
