1862 bayonet exercise manual by George B McLean identified to private Edward Smith of the 107th. New York infantry Company G manual is in good condition with some loose pages in the back. There are notes and inscriptions throughout the book a nice in conscription in the back reading: Edward Smith, 107, NY volunteers” as well as some pencil notes. There is an additional period ink inscription reading Cumberland, General Field Hospital, Nashville Tennessee. The steel engravings in the bayonet exercises have been hand colored in by the soldier which is a neat addition to the manual 107th New York was heavily engaged in many battles including Gettysburg!
