Finely made pair of riding boots by A.J. Cammeyer of New York City, who opened his boot and shoe business in 1875. Records show that his footwear was popular with officers and men serving on the frontier during the Indian War period. This pair has sewn soles and are in excellent condition, rising to a height of 15 inches. They feature interior cloth boot pulls and a Cammeyer maker’s label inside the right boot. A very attractive boot for an Indian War or Western collection.
