Confederate general (1821-1904) who distinguished himself at Bull Run, Fredericksburg, and Chickamauga, and is remembered as one of the Civil War's greatest tacticians. The State Banking Company of Gainesville check, 6.25 x 3, filled out and signed by James Longstreet, payable to Anderson N. Scott for $3.00, October 24th, 1901.  Very nice bold ink signature professionally framed with a beautiful picture of the General.  Measures 12 ¼” x 16 ¼”.
