Kerr Revolver Confederate Serial Number Range! - Inventory Number:  HAN 227 / SOLD

Civil War Confederate "Kerr" Patent Revolver.  One of approx. 9,000 imported during the civil war for use by the confederate states. This Confederate Kerr Army Revolver Serial number #6,025, which is found on the cylinder and on right side of frame. It Also has "Assembly" Numbers "#585" inside trigger guard bow.  Has "L.A.C". along with "proof" marks" on top barrel flat. Somewhere around 9,000 of these revolvers are known to have run the blockade.

Revolver is correctly marked on the lock “London Armoury Co.”. The frame is marked “Kerr’s Patent”. "6,025". This gun, overall, appears to have seen heavy use. The cylinder has one broken nipple.  .44 caliber, single action. 5 shot. Strong action and lock-up.

Overall gun is smooth with good edges. The checkered Walnut grips show decent checkering and on hairline crack.  The action does not work, and the retaining spring is lacking.  A very reasonably priced example of a Confederate used revolver.
