The card displays the Confederate First National Flag (Stars and Bars) and reads “SOUTHERN RIGHTS, MARYLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN TO DO HIS DUTY. “Don’t tread on us.”” Housed in a highly decorative period fabric and copper hanging frame measuring 4 ¾” by 3 1/2”. A rare piece of Maryland Confederate memorabilia.
