    May His Life be Remembered - Inventory Number: GRO 017 / Sold

     1850 "Foot Officer's" sword with bullion sword knot wrapped around the guard.  Crisp detail and depth to his well posed image.  Housed in a near mint condition blue velvet oval case with hand-carved mother of pearl bust cameo of a woman.  Behind the image is checkered green embossed paper, on the interior of the case is written: November 29th 1862, May his life be remembered and another line which has yet to be deciphered.

    Accompanying the image is a 1/9th plate daguerreotype of the same man in civilian attire house in a complete leatherette case with green velvet pillow device, additionally another ambrotype of the same man when in his teens.  There is also an oval daguerreotype of possibly his girlfriend or wife with a hairline fracture in the protective glass, also housed in an oval velvet case.
