Militia Cheesebox Canteen / SOLD

Pre-Civil War militia style “cheesebox” canteen, likely manufactured from cherry. The canteen is constructed of two 6” wooden disks connected by a single strip of 2” wide wood that has been wrapped around and nailed in place. The canteen retains the remains of a leather sling. A nice example of the popular militia cheesebox canteen.
