Model 1842 Bayonet - Inventory Number: BAY 249 / SOLD

Very good example of the triangular socket bayonet for the Harper’s Ferry and Springfield.  The blade measures 17.5” in length, .875” in width at base. Sharp “US’ marking, smooth locking ring. This is the regulation bayonet for M1842, smoothbore or rifled, .69 caliber musket. Solid and attractive example with smooth plum brown color.
