Model 1855 Bayonet and Scabbard / SOLD

Model 1855 bayonet for use with the U.S. Model 1855, 1861, and 1863 rifle muskets. The blade has a deep “US” marking with scattered pitting and a gray/brown finish. The bayonet is housed in a Civil War 7-rivet scabbard. The leather is solid, supple condition with some crazing to the triangular body. A nice complete ensemble for your Civil War rifle musket.
