Model 1864 Cartridge Box - Inventory Number: LEA 146 / Sold

Issued example with markers marking of E. Metzger, Philada. and sub inspector markings - E.H. Hartzell.  Complete example with both tins present, the shoulder strap is constructed of a waist belt with tabs mounted on it.  Closure tab is present as well.  A nice reasonable example of a Civil War essential accouterment!
