Musicians Sword - Inventory Number: SWO 168 / Sold
The model 1840 musician sword was intended for musicians and were ceremonial in purpose, being worn by the musicians during drill and formations. The sword could be used in a fight, but only as a weapon of last resort. No marked maker. Etched blade. Standard features include: all brass handle, grip gives the appearance of wire wrap but its integral with the handle, hilt is single branch. Scabbard leather with brass mountings. Includes original white buff leather frog.
