New York Button, New York State Artillery, National Guard, D Evans, Attleboro stars dividing.  
Button bears inscription "NYSA National Guard" (New York State Artillery). This was a state militia unit formed around 1860, eventually became a model for the later state controlled "National Guard" units. Backmark: "D. EVANS & CO / (star) ATTLEBORO (star)" dm single inner ring.  Two part coat button.
