Near Mint Condition Example of the G.A.R. Membership Badge - Inventory Number: VET 310 / SOLD

The badge consists of a brass suspension plaque with silver Colonel’s eagle on black (staff) field. Reverse has the original pin.

Suspended from the top bar is a full color US Flag ribbon that is in excellent condition.

The brass star shaped drop has the G.A.R. seal at center with crossed rifles, swords, cannons, an anchor and an infantry horn in each of the arms of the star. Reverse has all the Corps badges relating to the entire Union Army.

Comes housed in 6 inch x 8 inch riker display case with blue velvet backing and descriptive card.
