This unique relic is a section of blue lined stationary which was trimmed from a legal document penned by the law partner of the 16th President. The typed provenance on the document is dated January 4th, 1974, and states: I certify that this piece of paper, typical of that on which Abraham Lincoln wrote his legal briefs, was removed from a legal document penned by William Henry Herndon in 1855 and signed in the partnership name of “Lincoln & Herndon”.
