Pattern 1851 Sword Belt Buckle - Inventory Number: BEL 390 / SOLD

Pattern 1851 sword belt buckle for cavalry and artillery enlisted men and worn by infantry NCOs. This style has the applied German silver wreath with two additional wreath sections above the eagle’s wings. The buckle shows some light wear and scratches from use and has a patina turning a reddish color in places. A very attractive Civil War belt buckle.

Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
