Philadelphia Home Guard Cartridge Box

Scarce black leather .58 caliber cartridge box, issued to the Home Guard of Philadelphia and marked on the outer leather flap. Fastener tab missing. Leather pouch with flap and strap fastener on front of box. Two brass buckles on bottom, one is missing. Leather belt loops on back. Brass fastener on bottom. No tins. This example was formerly part of the MOLLUS museum collection inventory 86.12.8 Civil War Library Museum in Philadelphia.
