Pistol Cartridge Box - Inventory Number: LEA 416

Mint pistol cartridge box with very fine leather and tight seams. The outer flap shows very fine minor surface crazing. The center of the flap bears the embossed letters “U.S. and the contract marking of “T.J. Sheperd” and “J. D. Anna Co Newark NY”. Latch tab is complete and held in place with an arched line of stitching and copper rivet.

The interior of the box is very clean. Inner “pouch” portion back has both belt loops. Belt loops are stitched and riveted. Brass finial is present on bottom. Outstanding condition.
