Leather holster for a large frame, army sized revolver with distinctive southern characteristics. The triangular shaped flap with closure slit is secured by an iron carriage tarp finial. The belt loop appears to be made from pigskin and is riveted in place. The stitching along the length of the holster is mostly disintegrated. Supple leather with heavy surface wear and soiling. The holster measures 14 ¾” in length and 6” across the top of the flap. A classic southern revolver holster that shows extensive use.
