Spencer Rifle Bayonet - Inventory Number: BAY 142 / SOLD

Socket bayonet made at the Bay State Tool Company in Northhampton, Massachusetts. This bayonet was intended for use with the Spencer infantry rifle.

This example is in good condition. The metal surfaces are light gray with brown patchy mottling overall.  Blade measures approximately 18 ½” long and is unmarked. Locking ring works properly and the location of the stop pin is one of the keys to its identification.
