U.S. Model 1861 Watertown Contract Rifle Musket- Inventory Number: RIF 193
.58 caliber, walnut stock with two cartouche marks on the left side, steel fittings, lock marked "1861" with an eagle and "U.S./WATERTOWN", the top barrel flat marked "1864", the breech marked "V/P" over an eagles head with a small star on the far left flat, with a tulip-shaped ramrod.
Stock has been sanded and has a few dings, nicks, and a 2" lons chip in front of the middle barrel band on the edge of the ramrod channel, the bore is bright and crisp with some light scattered pitting, the lock functions properly, and in overall good condition.
