Cavalry Officer’s Saber - Inventory Number: SWO 257 / ON-HOLD

Very nice Civil War example with decorative foliate on guard, branches, and pommel cap.  The grip is silver with triple wire wrap.  The blade exhibits profuse engraving of shields, and detailed eagle opposite a large U.S. and star.  There are some small dark patches on one side of the blade.  The scabbard has bluing in the steel body with decorative brass mounts. A very attractive example of the Cavalry officer’s saber!
