Civil War Navy Enlisted Man’s Cap / SOLD

Scarce blue wool Civil War navy cap with brown polished cotton lining padded with straw. The center of the crown has a sawtooth wool rosette sewn on. There is a two-line stencil inscription on the liner, which is somewhat hard to read, but appears to say: "N. Y. W. P. & P. Co" with an address underneath.  In very good condition with just a few splits in the liner. An excellent addition to a Civil War headgear of navy collection.
